Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of milk
  • A small splash of boiling water*
  • 1 ½ tbsp Ember Slown Hot Chocolate Blend (or as much as you prefer)
  • Optional: Maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, or favorite toppings

Instructions

In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, warm your milk until hot but not boiling (for a creamier texture, froth your milk).

While the milk is heating, pour a splash of boiling water into your mug and add 1 ½ tablespoon (or more) of Ember Slown Original Hot Chocolate Blend. Stir vigorously for at least 30 seconds until the blend is fully dissolved and no powder remains. (The hot water helps the cacao powder dissolve smoothly before adding your milk, giving you a lump-free, velvety cup every time. A small milk frother works wonderfully here!)

Pour the hot milk into your mug and stir again until completely smooth and creamy.

We made our blend lightly sweetened so you can make it as indulgent as you like. Add your favorite sweetener if needed. A small drizzle of maple syrup is our favorite touch!

Taste and add vanilla, cinnamon, or your favorite toppings, if desired.
